    Fast Quotes:

Please call or e-mail me for a quick, friendly, no-obligation quote.  For most roto-tilling jobs I don't need to see the site so can give you a quote right away.

    How I Quote:

Every job is different, so I will provide you a custom quote based on the information below to ensure you are getting the best value.

    What I'll Need To Know:

    Size

Tell me the approximate size of the area you want tilled - is it a 500 square foot garden, or is it a 1 acre field?  I don't need exact dimensions - within about 3000 square feet is sufficient.

    Location

Let me know where you are located - at least what town or major street you are nearest to.  I don't need to know the street address to give you a quote, although it is helpful.  Although I am based in Melbourne, don't assume it is automatically more expensive if you are further away - I might already be working a large job near you so can be very competitive even at long distances.

    Complexity

I'll want to know how complex the job is going to be.  For example, let me know if it is going to be a simple rectangular garden, or a lawn around 4 sides of a house with lots of tight corners and sprinkler heads to work around.  I'll also ask what the current condition of the land is - for example, is it a previous garden that just needs to be re-tilled, or is it tough hard soil with high weeds that will need to be tilled several times?

    What You Need To Know

My machine is five feet wide, so if there are any gates or passages I need to go through they need to be larger than that.

I can till up to 7" deep, and for sod prep I typically till 3-4" deep.

If you have a sprinkler system, I can work around sprinkler heads as long as they are marked.  However, you should be prepared to have to make some repairs as many sprinkler pipes are not as deep as the owner thinks they are!

I only do machine work - roto-tilling and spreading dirt with my loader.  I don't provide gardening, landscaping, or grading services.  The area I till will not be completely smooth and will typically need to be raked before planting or sodding.
